About us
A youth-led movement
What if the greatest hope for our planet lies in the hands of those with the most at stake? – frontline communities!
At Eco Game Changers, we believe it does. Standing at the critical intersection of environmental and social progress, our youth-led movement is rewriting Cameroon’s future. Through government and business partnerships, media training, and hands-on environmental restoration, we’re demonstrating that when we heal our natural world, we simultaneously create stronger communities and meaningful opportunities for all. This is why we do what we do – because the path to a thriving planet and a just society is one and the same journey.
Beverly and Patu story
In 2021, the British High Commission granted £10,000 as seed funding from the UK Government’s Climate Diplomacy Fund to kick-start the Game Changers initiative. The grant supported our team to mobilise stakeholders (co-funders, enablers, volunteers, etc), build relevant capacity and canvass more resources to work towards achieving the goal to reach 1 million Cameroonians with diver climate messaging to trigger action. The UK Government’s support was part of commitments around COP26, which was hosted in Glasgow. Several business groups, companies and diplomatic missions supported the Game Changers initiative in various ways. This included some businesses that had already indicated their willingness to commit to a pledge and/or fund the Game Changers initiative.

Voices of Impact
Hear from the volunteers, partners, and community members whose lives have been touched through our collective mission for a greener, cleaner planet.
I joined game changers over ago, at a time when I need to find some sort of purpose. Becoming part of a young and dynamic team, passionate about the environment, was one thing I needed at the moment. I saw Game Changers as a place where I could give back to my community through service. Since I joined the team, it’s been a plethora of experiences.
I have had the opportunity to engage in a number of cleanup campaigns, tree planting activities, sensitization and awareness raising events which have not only enabled me to share my knowledge with others, but has also helped me to discover what am truly passionate about. Today, I am getting ready to start a journey at Harvard (“The Big H”), where I will be studying what I like.
I was born and raised in a rural setting where the environment provided me and my family with a lot of resources to live on. Fuel wood for cooking, water we fetched from the streams for our laundry, trees we harvested fruits from for private consumption and many others. These activities made me develop so much love for the environment and nature in general.
Game Changers provided a platform for me to express my love for the environment while gaining both corporate and operational experience. More importantly, it gave me hope at a time when everything seemed wrong — just as I received a scholarship from the African Union to pursue an MSc in Water Policy at the Pan African University Institute in Algeria.
